Thought it was about time I posted a few pictures and drag racing progress (I’m sorry there not very good pictures) and I’ll add a list of modifications when I get chance and as and when they happen

This is my fastest time so far down the quarter mile strip and this was at rotor stock august 2007 at Santa pod :

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c51/stuartgoodall/DSC00278.jpg

I was then told that with better tire's I could knock half a second off that time getting very close to an 11 second quarter mile, so that then became my mission ,get Penelope into the 11,s (or at least blow her up trying)

this resulted in breaking a gearbox and a drive shaft :

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c51/stuartgoodall/Image016.jpg

Here’s a picture of the engine as it is a the moment

still the fastest car I've ever been in.
Never forget harrassing that 996 Turbo on the way back from germany and me having to frantically rip a wire apart so you could do more than 120 leptons.

Long time coming mate just carry on modding and scaring porkers

Andy and Zoe from JP where so nice they even payed for my dinner on the day.
So they bloody should, realy gripes me about magazines there making money off your cars and you get **** all back. Wouldnt be so bad if they offered you a free 6 month membership to the magazine or something

The features out!

Got to be worth a read even if it’s in WH smiths on your lunch break lol

Let me know what you think

Cheers

Hi Stu :)

Always heard a lot about this car and went to Smiths today to have a butchers at the article in JP. Well suffice to say I bought the magazine on your car feature alone (not really a big fan of the OTT Veilside Rex lol) so my purchase has paid for JP to pay for your lunch haha!!

Zoe Harrison is a decent tog and the pics have come out well so well done and look forward to sitting down tonight and reading all the text properly.

Keep up the good work (y)

just noticed they have put the pics up from the last breakfast club at cosford and found this pick which creased me up:

http://www.midlandsbreakfastclub.co.uk/USERIMAGES/DSC_0057(1).JPG

again thanks to everyone that help try and fix the punture, turns out the tyre was a bit beyond repair!

if you look close you might be able to spot a few familiar faces! ::wave::

Got my OZ's on the back for now,but noticed that my tracking is way-out!

my rear tie bars are rusted solid so I've ordered some new ones the same as these:

http://www.twosrus.co.uk/shop/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/5e06319eda06f020e43594a9c230972d/A/W/AW11_tierod.jpg

also used this opportunity to replace my rear drop links with new adjustable ones had them for ages but not had chance to fit them!

could do with getting it 4 wheel aligned and also like to get her on a rolling road at some point soon.

Haha a cracking little read there stu!

*has thoughts of picking that donor car up* lmao!

ha ha ,yeah i will never forget that day at least we are still alive to tell the tail...

you and the lads ransacking the car and nicking all the tools even though I'd already brought every thing in the car !

we got the car lifted off the garden onto a flat bed truck:

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c51/stuartgoodall/HPIM0464.jpg

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c51/stuartgoodall/HPIM0470.jpg

then had it transfered onto our trailer but it was put on the wrong way round !

how not to load a trailer:

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c51/stuartgoodall/HPIM0480.jpg

after the above pick was taken we shifted everything thing about on the trailer so it sat right, but we still had to much weight at the back of the trailer!

I'm sure Griff will back me up on this, it made a very entertaining ride home! :)

Didin't we then get the car stuck in the street outside the factory? as the forklift packed up.

just a small update.

i,ve fitted the adjustable bottom arms now and fitted some new ARB drop-links as mine on the back where a little bent ::scared::

fitted some 205 tires on the front and put the 225's on the back been meaning to do this for ages but never got around to it !

the inter cooler used to be in the boot but since i went charge cooled it was removed and the vent in the boot lid was no longer needed....

....so Finally got the new boot lid sprayed and fitted.yay i now have a boot again ! :D

no the best pic but i think you get the idea:

one dusty Mr2:

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c51/stuartgoodall/penelope%202009/PICT0668.jpg

replaced the bottom arms with new two’s are us stainless jobbies and fitted new drop links :D

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c51/stuartgoodall/penelope%202009/PICT0685-1.jpg

Then while the car was up in the air I droped the under trays and checked the car over for rust! Luckily (very luckily) none was found so I wire brushed the old lose under seal and added some fresh where it was needed!

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c51/stuartgoodall/penelope%202009/PICT0693.jpg

before and after, not very good pics but you get the idea  !

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c51/stuartgoodall/penelope%202009/PICT0703.jpg

I also plan to carpet the rear boot so while I had the chance I sprayed clear wax oil everywhere I could, bloody messy stuff but will be covered with the carpet:

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c51/stuartgoodall/penelope%202009/PICT0707.jpg

I just need to get down there now and give the car a good wash and polish ready for an MOT as I think It’s just ran out!

plus i need to get her 4 wheel Aliened,so if anyone knows of anywhere good around the midlands i can take the car to i'd be most greatful, cheers

been a while since my last update as P's been in dry storage over the winter.

passed MOT last week YAY !

although it did take me a few weeks to fix a charging problem that turned out to be something I'd done (I'd fitted a powder coated alternator bracket that stopped the alternator earthing to the engine doh i fail ! )

driving back from the test station I'd managed to scare myself as i really did forget how fast the car was !

I also forgot how much attention a noisy PINK mr2 gets.

well I'm quite excited as of the start of the month she'll be taxed and back on the road :D
