air ride mate.....
havent posted on here for a while, to be honest just lost interest in the site a bit, but im back :)
i managed to find afull air ride suspension kit on ebay a while ago for less that what ive payed to a pair of trainers in the past :)!!
so i decided while i was doing some winter tidying issues i had a go at fitting them.
i have never attempted nothin like this before but i work with hydralics and pneumatics at work so cant see the fitting of the equipment be too much work, maybe when it comes to putting the bags onto the shocks ill love for some advice.
anyway..
little update for ya'lll
after some sound deandening ( not finished) floor repairs and a nice fire, im back on progress with the bags!!!!
heres the stage im at at the moment :)
stripped front, lots or re-wiring and new wiring/audio cables ect installed, few repairs, just awaiting sound deadening to arrive :)
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/pittaway/threemedium2.jpg
rear seats, nearly fully deadened and inside arches, running airlines and buttons ect, long process!!
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/pittaway/twomedium2.jpg
drivers side airline is now in the bay and ready for shock/bag :)
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/pittaway/fourmedium2.jpg
just finished my false floor that will hide cables/ amps, and airlines ect ect, will have fans to keep amps cool aswell :)
you can see the dry cell ice battery, air tank with solenoids ect, and the air pump, the battery is sank into the floor and the tank and pump are being bolted down tomorrow :)
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/pittaway/oneMedium.jpg
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/pittaway/fivemedium2.jpg
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/pittaway/sevenmedium2.jpg
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/pittaway/sixmedium2.jpg
thats as far as i am now, but full steam ahead, will have more progress tomorrow 8)
heres a little vid of the bags in action PLEASE NOTE they are moving less than half of what they do, this is because they are running at really low pressure, to aviod the bags splitting as there is no load to slow them down :)

another update...
oh yeah, and this came ,

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/pittaway/12_1.jpg
update for ya...
cars full sound deadened now, brand new carpet fitted and most all the seats and trim ect back in, (just waiting for dash to come back tomorrow) and were ready to roll.
all new cables ran for stereo, amps speakers bags ect ect, :) hard bloody task!!! and blooody annoying
ran wires for airbag control box, just waiting on a fitting from work for the main cable :)
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/pittaway/switches12.jpg
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/pittaway/switches2.jpg
all the back of the car is fitted back up now and the tank ect is back in! :) :) :) :)
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/pittaway/bottle2.jpg
made a fuse board in the side of the boot, doesnt look the best at the moment but is for safety rather that looks at the moment and will be covered in leather when ready :)
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/pittaway/fuse2.jpg
and finally, the boot, pretty much fineshed!! need to tidy some wiring but gonna do that once its all up and running so dont have to go disturbing cable once is secured
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/pittaway/boot2.jpg
anyway, more of an update soon, when my dash is back and my custom centre concole, dash, and guage pods are being made :)
happy times...
that was kinda 3 updates in one! ha ha!! will be more regular now my pc is sorted,
