fought id finally get round to showing off the longest W.I.P ever lol
well the journey started just over 4 years ago (4th november 2003 to be exact) a day before i passed my test. it started life as a very boring 1.2 4 speed which had done around 70k with me being the 2nd owner
2003
it started life as a very boring 1.2 4 speed which had done around 70k with me being the 2nd owner paid £400 for it. the night i brought it i was dieing to mollest it so i ripped out the seats and threw in my sr seat then my peco big bore 2 which was off a previous nova i had and it alredy had sr alloys on it. well i soon got bored of driveing it and wanted summat reliable so of it went into the garage and sat there doing nuffin.
2004
fought as the nova was sitting there doing nuffin ill sell it but as i had a 1.4 engine sitting around ill drop that in and sell it better and for a bit more lol as if that worked out::crazy:: couldnt set the carb up right so i tryed selling it as a non runner some bloke came to collect it and didnt want it because it wouldnt start so looks like it was destend to stay with me so the project begins......
so i got to work on the engine which involved a 1.4 bottom end and a 1.2 head with 1.3 inlet and a weber carb of a chavalier with a 4-2-1 manifold and ashley manifold back system.
2005
started to tidy it up a bit as i relised the back arches had been cut back about a inch so no rust there but looked odd so on went the new arches in went the electric windows and the new alloys off a mk4 astra sri

well it aint soon before summat goes wrong the head gasket went so poped a new one on then it started kicking out smoke and lots of it!! it was going through litres of oil a week and loads of water so would it make it into 2006??........
2006
NO!!!! lol got fed up of trying to save it pulled out a spark plug and it had bits of piston ring on it so i new that was the end so back into the garage it went fought id start makeing a proper project of it now but didnt want to go the usuall red top route so i fought about 1.6 16v as then it was very uncommon tried to get info on fitting but couldnt find anything then found a company in cannock that did a rally nova with the 16 16v lump in but they refused said it was to hard and wasnt willing to do one again but i wasnt willing to give up.
bring on the corsa gsi.....

as you can see its had it lol ripped it to pieces and made my money back from selling parts bargin:D as the engine had done 140k i fought i best re-build it and it weighd twice its weight from all the oil and crap on it full re-build on bottom end the head was fine so i left that alone then loads of other new bits and pieces to.
now its the chalenge of fitting it which was easy actually used original nova mounts and then changed the way the gearbox linkage ataches throw on some 2ltr brakes and then the wireing challenge which isnt my strong point but soon was done and one flick of the key and it was alive again!!
