Hard wiring

Hey all, just wondered if any1 could help me, i wanna hard wire in my road angel, i know it just wires into the cig lighter, but aint got the foggiest how, the guide just says:

"The straight cable supplied in the box by removing the cigar socket, it must have its own 3a fuse in line."

lol not much help, only way i can seee of removing the socket is 2 cut the wire just 4 it.

Any1 got any ideas? cheers

there should be a way of tearin the socket apart
