Think i need to get some prices.. i want a pair in a box...
Try Bass junkies in Wensbury. They have some fat deals there!!!!!
Them square kicker subs are pukka, but aint cheap!!!! Them new sony's pentagon fings are quite cheap, bout 100 for a 15" but heard mixed reactions! Them Kendwood DB+ are a weapon n half!! If u get the subs, i'll mek u a box cheaper than u can buy 1 for!!!! Mek it to suit ur boot to.

probably not of too much interest to you, but ive got two JBL 1000w subs, and they sound really good for the money!
£49.99 from Ripspeed/Halfords (current special offer).
£99.99 normal RRP price.
But they sound amazing for the price, id recommend them in any set up, drive them hard, they keep coming back for more.

Awww hell no JL and RF subs are better used for fancy paperweights they just plane suck. only good RF is the Team RF. I saw Vibe subs in there i take it that they are Lanzar Vibes bad bad subs. The Atomics are nice and loud. BUT i would jusat build a box for the subs you get, prefab boxes aresnt good for all subs and usually just barely meet the bottom requirements. MTX subs are loud for the price the 6000 series is almost the best sub in the price class. The kicker square subs are ok has to have a good build to get loud but can get pretty loud when ported.
IF you can get them over there look into Digital Designs 3512 subs mean mean subs for the cash.
As for that 32" one Subs over 18" are all show just penis envy to have them, Clarion tried it back in the late '90s and it was a huge flop a 32" sub witht the motor structure of a 15". Audiobahn or as we call em Audioblah has a 36" but it can be beat with a good 18". Plain and simple the cones of these just have too much mass to Stay linear and move adequately to even be mediocre subs.

I got something for you!
My two Rockford Fosgate 12" monsters with boxes
They are rated ato 400 rms each, and need some heavy power to run.
I f bass you want then get these, they will wipe the floor with JL Audio subs up to the W7 series
PS. Ask chink or wez what they are like, they were in the car on the way back from Max Power!

i would like the W3 series of the JL but they are to pricey atm

The soloX is a worthless piece of junkthe L7 is a much better sub plain and simple
Them Mtx 6000's are right at the w3's performance for a load less
And i'd put one of my RE's against both of those 12" RF's on half the power.

dunno if this will help......i got 2 vibe ac100 enclosed subs. chose this cuz i listens to a lot of dance music and it has got the TIGHTEST bass. the mdf box which is part of it is made to a very high standard, TIP: dont install 6x9s if u gettin a sub in the boot, u wanna leave th eparcel shelf empty so it dont interfere wiv the bass waves- sounds so much better.
Biggy
14-12-2003, 05:38 PM
i know 6x9's are a no no anyway in my system,
DeanDTurb
14-12-2003, 06:03 PM
6x9's dont displace enough hanging downfrom the parcel shelf to disrupt the waves or cause any wave cancellation, there should be absolutly no dif in the sound unless its a terrible pair of 6x9's and just sound like crap
Biggy
14-12-2003, 06:05 PM
best thing to do is to take the bass out of the 6x9's that way u ain't got any conflict
DeanDTurb

Yeah a good crossover point on main speakers is always a good idea, if its possible have the subs n main speaker xove settings overlap around 10hz so it blends together.
Biggy
14-12-2003, 06:27 PM
man you know some shit, i got my speakers amped up so i've just set the xover on the amp
t go for rockfords but make sure there dual voice coil or u will blow um.

only good fosgates are the 1990's models, when theyre top sub was just called the punch no little subtitle crap.
Anyone ever tried earthquake, mate had one of these and it was a fucking beast, dunno whether there still imported from the states, they would be worth a look, but that was going back to the days of dimensions in stafford. Ive got RF HE`s in the couple of years ive had them they`ve took some serious abuse, and are still going strong, i quite like the look of diamond audio, orion and directed stuff
