do you mean speakers as the lowest i have seen is 7 or 8 " subs

then get a decent set of components not subs you will have enough bass from the subs you will not here the 4 or 5's anyway. For a good system you need to have a good balance of bass and treble

yeah don't go overboard with the subs, just go for a decent set of components, to be fair there would be no point in gettin 5" subs cus they'd be too small to produce any bass!!!

You would be suprised, if there setup right they can produce a heft bit of mid bass. Stu had a 6.5" sub in the centre of the dash in his AX an it used to make loads of bass as it had its own amp an was set just to produce mid bass an nothing else. If im honnest nicky i wouldnt use anymore than two of those type of speakers in the front an use some nice full range along with them to get a real crisp sound

erm they dont exist to my knowledge someone please correct me if I am wrong but you would be better buying a couple of 8" ones and making kickpods or making a mount for under seats or in dash.

Focal do as small as 5" subs, 6" are made by some more mainstream manufacturers like Kenwood. There not common place but do exist:D
