Really annoying sub problem

When i have my sub on it is picking up random interfearence. The only way it can be explained is like a power surge or somethin causing my sub to act strangely and kick out of synch or just play a randon boom and scratching type noise.

This only happens when i turn on my headlights or other electrical parts in the car. Although It is perfectly fine without the engine running.

Is it down to my earth , or could it be an electrical clash further up into the headunit setup.

Just for info, I have my power cables and phono cables running down opposite sides of the car and they never cross.

It sounds like a fault with a connection somewhere, check that nothing has worked loose, clean up any corroded connections and check your earth points are secure.

try a power cap on ur altinator

Ive had a suppressor on the RCA's fitted and earthed to the headunit and ive turned the gain down a notch and everythin is mint :)
