hey, iv recently been seriously considering installing two 7" sunvisor screens and a ps2 slimline into my car. i no that the ps2 will play the dvds so i wont need to buy a seperate dvd player but im unsure on how to go about doing it and exactly what i will need.
How will the ps2 be powered? i mean what sort of adapters will i need? will the ps2 plug directly into the screens? how will i get the ps2 to fun on both screes will i need another adapter?
Im also thinking of installing a tv addon box (http://www.tgincar.co.uk/tvaddon.htm)
and a RF modulator (http://www.tgincar.co.uk/arfmodulators.htm)
What do you think of the tv/rf modulator idea?
iv been looking at these 7" screens (http://www.tgincar.co.uk/svs7inch.htm)
What do you think of the prices? are they resonable? has any1 had any dealings with this company before?
all help apreciated thanks

any ideas? if not any1 no who can do it for good price?
looks good mate
you will need a power inverter for your Ps2 to convert to 12v supply. these start as little as £30 in some places!!!
TV should have instructions on how to wire up with it. Easy to do really!!!

to wire up both tv's you'd probably have some kind of splitter on the rca, kinda like runnin 2 amps off the same set of rca's.
To answer the Modulator question, what headunit u got? would it be worth seein if it has an AUX input??
dont do it with a slimline ps2 they have no internal fan hence them being so small and overheat very very quickly

Sony actually recalled n stopped selling these 3 weeks afta they came out due to that problem!!!

cheers for that bell, i was goin to buy the slimline aswell. also i ay got a clue when it comes to ice and installs like this so duno wht u mean by rca biggy, but my headunit is aiwa and has got a front aux input, unsure if its got one at bk and wher would i be able to aquire a power inverter from?
RCA=phono leads. These are usually red and white 'holes' on the back of the head unit. These need to connect to amps, etc to make sound, etc

what u need then is this for the screens :
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?rb=8582666578&action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=88402
that will split the video feed (yellow RCA to each of the screens)
Then u need a lead that has the red & White RCA leads that go to the plug to go in your head unit, which i believe would be a headphone type??

i had a slimline ps2 running of a power inverter . u can get them from carols discout or any computer shop like "game"
i imported x2 7" tv screens from canada via Ebay :) i did have to pay import tax (thats only 17.5% on the good value) unfortunatly the TV tuner didnt pick up bbc ect so it was just basicly a monitor . MAKE SHURE ANY SCREEN U BUY FROM OVERSEA`S ARE PAL NOT NTSC if u can help it.
