Is it not worth changing the oil for fresh and seeing how it goes?

might be worth changing make sure you use motercycle oil not car oil cause its not the same. it might be nothing but for 25 quid not worth the risk

First take the spark plug out then when its out, plug the top bit back in ( forgot the name) then touch the other end on anything metal eninge casing or what ever then try start it and if the plug dont spark try cleaning it with a wire brush and a bit of petrol, if it still dont then try a new plug, and it would be a good idea to change the oil .

He's already said it's running, all he asked was about the oil.

If it's been stood, drop the oil and change it. May be worth doing the filter aswell
